CARPOOL

The Plot: On the ride to work each member of a carpool discusses what they did over the weekend.

: As each carpool member tells their story, we get a flashback to their sex scene. A good set up for a vignette style movie. There's nothing really that great in Carpool, on the other hand, it is does have very competent actors plus the humorous writing of Jonathan Morgan. The sex scenes are of the modern day "way too long" variety.  As far as your enjoyment of this movie, I think it will rely on how much feature porn you watch. If you've seen a lot, you'll find this just an average film. If you're newer to feature porn, you will probably be much more pleased. I grade it C+

CHAUFFEUR'S DAUGHTER

Chauffeur's Daughter starring Lanny Barby, Kelly Wells, Paulina James, Kimberly Franklin, Ava Lauren, Victoria Valentino, Manuel Ferrara, James Deen, Herschel Savage, Kurt Lockwood, Jay Ashley and directed by Paul Thomas.

The Plot: The chauffeur's daughter (Lanny Barby) is madly in love with her father's employer's son Tony (James Deen). The son also loves her, but they are from two different worlds and his mother doesn't approve. Lanny is going to finishing school in Paris and Tony is being encourage to marry a socialite. Can their love survive long distance? Will Tony cave to his mother's demands? Tune in tomorrow to find out on As The World Turns....OOPS! I meant Chauffeur's Daughter!

: I keep thinking one day I'll see a movie by Paul Thomas that will make me realize he really is the genius that he thinks he is....but Chauffeur's Daughter is not that film. And I'm saying that with fondness, because I think P.T. really tries to add something to the world of feature XXX movies. Besides the soap opera-ish plot as described above (which I guess could be considered a novel idea), the movie is really just your "run of the mill" XXX movie with sex scenes broken up occasionally by plot exposition. At times the plot appears rushed (or badly edited) to get to the sex scene leaving the viewer to wonder why the sex scene is taking place other than the fact they're watching a XXX movie. Plus the movie is filled with bad boob jobs and while that may not be a turn-off for everyone, it certainly detracts from my enjoyment of any XXX movie. I rate this one a solid D

A WOLF'S TAIL

This is the second part of a triolgy, the first part is called "A Witch's Tail" and the third part is called "A Devil's Tail", neither of which I have seen.

The plot: Asia Carrera is writing a new chapter for her book about Vampires....WTF....I thought his was about Wolves or at least a Wolfman! In Asia's mind we see the scene she is writing...cue sex scene. Next up, Asia's agent calls to check on how the book is coming. She tells him she is going to get some information from a vampire expert. When the phone call ends, we get the cliched boss and secretary setup..cue sex scene. Asia has gotten an old diary from the vampire expert. This diary was written by an ancient vampire (Herschel Savage). He's pissed about his diary being stolen and sends a couple of his minions to take care of Asia's expert. Asia meanwhile has been magically transported by reading the diary and has met a vampire...cue sex scene...after having sex the vamp is going to bite her, but at the last minute, she is saved by a wolf. Thank Goodness, finally a wolf has appeared in A Wolf's Tail. The wolf eventually turns into Evan Stone...cue sex scene. Asia finds out that she has great powers and that the wolf is her protector...cue next part of Triolgy.

A Wolf's Tail had only very brief moments of storyline to hold together what was basically a bunch of vignettes (I didn't mention all of the sex scenes in the plot outline above). Although I'm not that big of a fan of director Bud Lee, I have seen a couple of his other features that I liked: Blue Angel and Love At First Byte were both pretty good. However, A Wolf's Tail left a lot to be desired in a feature XXX movie in my opinion and I have no interest in seeing the first or third installments of this triolgy. Even with the lovely Asia Carrer as the star, I still rate this one a D+

GOOD GIRLS of GODIVA HIGH

There are some great Golden Age Porno features with great plots, but Bad Girls of Godiva High isn't one of them.

The plot centers around an all girls school, Godiva High, and the upcoming dance. They normally have a very sedate dance, but the girls want to have a Disco Party (the movie was made in 1980). But they'll have to convince the headmistress before they can have the dance that they want. Luckily one of the girls knows a guy from the all boys school and he just happens to be the headmistress' gardener, so they can get him to do the convincing (cue sex scene here). Next they have to get the owner and DJ of a local disco to put on the party (cue sex scene).

Bad Girls of Godiva High was filmed on location, rather than on a set and other than that one plus, I can think of nothing I really enjoyed about this movie. The little bit of plot is so contrived that you're probably only going to find it in a porno or a cheap sexploitation movie needing set ups for sex scenes. Adding in the bad looking cast, the uninspired sex scenes and the bad transfer from video to dvd, I can easily give this one a D

JUGSY

Here's what the box says: "Herschel Savage shoots from the hip on a journey into the seedy underworld of (dis)organized crime. Meet Jugsy, a stripper who bares more than her soul in a tale so torrid it`ll curl your spats. Grab a table and dim the lights. Jugsy will blow you away."

Here's what Mr. X-Ray has to say: I had high hopes for this one, after seeing the great job that Herschel Savage did with his parody of the Addams Family (See my Maddams Family review below). I rented this one with the assumption that Jugsy would be a take-off on the movie Bugsy.

But there's barely a storyline in this movie at all. Just some very short lines of dialog that connect the sex scenes, so this one was a major disappointment. And to add to my misery, most of the women were not very attractive. I grade this one a D.

A Twist On An Old Theme

Jerry was just another struggling actor in Hollywood until he got his big break as a porn star.
